The Ministry of Popular Power for Health presented this Tuesday to the Andean Committee of the Andean Health Agency - Hipolito Unanue Convention (ORAS-CONHU) the balance of the achievements achieved during the Andean Border Vaccination Week.

By means of a press release, the ministerial portfolio specifies that the binational day held in conjunction with the health authorities of the Republic of Colombia totaled the application of more than 11,000 doses of biological drugs to protect families living in the territorial limits of the Homeland.

The general director of Immunizations in the health portfolio, Eloísa Garrido, explained “the priority deployment focused on the Andean Committee served 6,251 people in the border states of Amazonas, Apure, Táchira and Zulia, with special attention to native indigenous communities and the dispersed rural population.”

In addition, the official highlighted “the strategic incorporation of the Bolivar state into the territorial immunization brigades, a neighboring entity that added more than three thousand doses administered to the global calculation of the national preventive operation.”
