Ministry of Transport addresses structural damage in the Boquerón I Tunnel of the Caracas - La Guaira highway

As part of the ongoing maintenance plan implemented by the Ministry of Transportation on the country's road infrastructure, crews from this portfolio carried out the demolition of concrete slabs on the roof of the Boquerón I Tunnel, located on the Caracas - La Guaira highway.

According to a publication on the ministry's Telegram channel, the institution's crews approached the structure to correct the damage caused by the constant impact of heavy-duty and high-altitude vehicles that travel along this important road axis.

“This work, of great impact, is carried out to guarantee the safety of drivers who travel daily between the capital and the Central Coast,” said the publication.
