As part of the contingency actions in the face of the double earthquake of last June 24, the Ministry of People's
Power for Transportation (MPPT) the
ports of Puerto Cabello (Carabobo) and Guanta (Anzoátegui) are working at
their maximum capacity to receive cargo destined for the port of La Guaira.
This was reported in a press release this Tuesday, July 7, by the Deputy Minister of Water Transport, David Quintana, from the state of Anzoátegui, where he explained that, in the face of the national emergency, a special plan for operations and protection was activated in both maritime terminals.
Namely, all merchandise destined for La Guaira (the country's main maritime facility, affected by recent earthquakes) is being redistributed to Puerto Cabello and Guanta. He also stated that in both regional complexes, tasks are carried out to unload, organize and dispatch international ships to ensure efficient and safe mobilization.
