Ministry of Labor signs agreement to promote chess as an educational discipline

From the social network X, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, announced the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Popular Power for Education and the Chess Association of the country's capital to promote this discipline in schools in the country.
“We started the week with the program Chess Goes to School,
signing an agreement with the Caracas Chess Association and the
Ministry for Education, in order to expand this discipline in
all schools,” he wrote.
The Chess Goes to School program is part of Hugo Chávez's Great Equality and Social Justice Mission, with the inclusion of teachers and students. Among the benefits of chess are: strengthening memory, improving concentration, boosting critical thinking and facilitating decision-making.
