Ministry of Health intensifies fumigation to prevent dengue fever in Cojedes

The Ministry of Popular Power for Health, carrying out the National Plan for the Prevention and Control of Dengue, is intensifying fumigation days to combat the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which transmits this disease in Cojedes.

The actions are especially concentrated in the municipalities of Rómulo Gallegos, Tinaquillo and Ezequiel Zamora.

Manuel Rodríguez, the single health authority in Cojedes, indicated that environmental health workers recently treated 1,170 inhabitants of the La Candelaria II sectors of the Tinaquillo municipality; Las Delicias in the Rómulo Gallegos municipality and Retazo III in the Ezequiel Zamora municipality.

Rodríguez also highlighted that during the days they hold educational sessions, which seek to educate the community for the prevention of Aedes aegypti, he said, quoted by the regional press.
