Ministry of Health intensifies deployment against Malaria in communities in Atures municipality

To continue to guarantee the comprehensive protection of the population and strengthen epidemiological prevention policies, the State Directorate of Health (DES) Amazonas of the Ministry of Popular Power for Health is keeping active the territorial deployment of the Malaria Elimination Program in the Atures municipality.
As part of this institutional planning, this Tuesday, November 3, 2026, health commissions addressed the Coromoto community, located in the Platanillal parish, where they held a working meeting with spokespersons of popular power to consolidate the exchange of technical information, identify indigenous risk factors and strengthen direct epidemiological surveillance, the ministerial portfolio reported on its website.
During the day, the medical and technical staff carried out the diagnostic stratification of recent cases, the active house-to-house search through Rapid Diagnostic Tests (PDR) and thick droplet samples, the immediate delivery of treatment regimens to positive patients, night nebulization tasks in housing structures and detected nurseries, in addition to ensuring the full supply of supplies at local diagnostic stations.
