This Wednesday, July 1st, the Bolivarian Government installed a field hospital in the area of El Playón, La Guaira state, to strengthen medical care capacity following the earthquakes recorded on June 24.

The installation work was supervised by the Minister of the People's Power for Health, Carlos Alvarado, together with the Deputy Minister of Integral Health, Rosalbina Hurtado, a press release said.

This mobile structure, the product of a donation made by Brazil, was designed to cover various health needs under contingency conditions. The center has an operational capacity to perform 100 daily services, covering specialties such as general medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics and intensive care

“The center has an operating room, pharmacy and 10 hospital beds to decongest the fixed health network and provide uninterrupted care for the people of the entity,” the ministry said.

The implementation of this unit aims to avoid the saturation of permanent care centers, facilitating the decentralization of emergency services and optimizing the response.
