A total of 130 fishermen from the states of La Guaira and Miranda received returnable funding in equipment and materials, while the Safe Fishing Plan was launched, which includes a mechanism that allows the real-time location of seafarers, thanks to the allocation of more than 120 radio beacons to safeguard their lives.

The information was provided by the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture and the governor of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán in a press release that detailed that 125 satellite radio beacons and EPIRB were delivered to the CONPPA of La Guaira and Miranda.

It was known that with the 130 returnable loans for the purchase of fishing gear and spare parts for engine repair, fishermen from 10 Fishermen's Councils of La Guaira benefit.

The funding includes the provision of nets, ropes, wires for grouting, piston kits, connecting rods, rollers, resin, paints, fibers and freezers to strengthen the development of productive activity in the eastern axis of the entity.
