Ministry of Education: Classes at schools in the country are kept at their regular schedule

This Monday, March 24, the Ministry of People's Power for Education issued a circular, informing that all official and privately run educational institutions, in any location and headquarters, are in their regular activities from Monday to Friday, at the established times since the beginning of the school year.

The clarification was made by this Ministry when referring to the statement issued by the Bolivarian Government this Sunday, March 23, that in the face of the global climate emergency, working hours will be adjusted in the National Public Administration, which will be applied starting this Monday, March 24.

He also announced that the schedule for the personnel who serve at the administrative headquarters of this Ministry and its attached entities (does not include campuses) will be from 8:00am to 12:30pm for the next six weeks, as indicated in the aforementioned statement.

It also points out that for personnel working in administrative offices of the Ministry and its attached entities (not including campuses), the 1×1 will apply, which consists of one working day for one non-working day.

The circular states that during the working day, workers will complement their special schedule in articulated actions that contribute to strengthening educational quality, as well as to communal government in their respective territories.

Faced with the climate emergency caused by rising temperatures worldwide, the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela announces a series of actions to be implemented by the National Public Administration starting this Monday, March 24, 2025:

1. Business hours will be adjusted from 8:00am to 12:30pm for the next six weeks. Organizations that guarantee essential services to the population will be exempt from this action.

2. The 1×1 is declared, which consists of one working day for one non-working day.

3. During the working day, public workers will complement their special hours by supporting the strengthening of communal self-government chambers, carrying out tasks inherent to the consolidation of communal circuits as fundamental organs of People's Power.

In the same way, we call on the population to accompany these actions with other effective measures, such as adjusting the temperature of air conditioners to 23°C, taking advantage of natural light and disconnecting electronic devices when we are not using them, among others.

Together, we move forward collectively to guarantee national life, its normal development, and the development of productive and service forces for the happiness of our people, at this time that all of humanity is going through to mitigate the consequences of global warming.
