Ministry for Health promotes breast cancer prevention days in ten states of the country

Thousands of people were treated in ten federal entities of the country during the days of prevention and early detection of breast cancer held during the Pink Month, which included specialized consultations, mammograms, echosonography, self-examination workshops and community activities.

This was reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), citing a publication published by the Ministry of Popular Power for Health (Minsalud), an office that specified that more than 800 people participated in the activities carried out in the state of Anzoátegui, while in Zulia, more than 400 inhabitants of Maracaibo, Cabimas and Lagunillas were treated.

In the state of Sucre, the sessions offered medical guidance to more than 200 people, as well as workshops on breast self-examination and cytology.

The health portfolio noted that medical teams also carried out diagnostic studies, discussions and educational activities in the states of Guárico, Bolívar, La Guaira and Yaracuy.

The deployment also included house-to-house visits, community walks and information sessions about risk factors and the timely detection of the disease.

The actions also reached Trujillo, Monagas and Delta Amacuro, where preventive talks, physical activities and meetings with communities and workers were held.
