Ministers address issues related to the II National Popular Consultation

With the intention of strengthening the participation of the organized People through community projects, the Minister of Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, the Minister of Health, Magaly Gutiérrez Viña and the Minister of Communes and Social Movements, Ángel Prado held a meeting.
According to a press release from the Science and Technology portfolio, during the meeting, senior officials addressed issues related to the projects approved in the II National Popular Consultation convened by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro,
In this regard, Jiménez said that this meeting complies with the guidelines of the national president on the joint ministerial agenda that allows the execution of community health projects.
“In addition, we have significant results and advances in the Community Surgical Plan in the states of Lara, Portuguesa, Apure and Trujillo. The health of our people is a fundamental priority to guarantee the well-being of all,” said Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, who is also the sector vice-president of Science, Technology and Health.
He added that the work agenda paid special attention to “the articulation of the Health Committees and the Communes present in the country's 4,530 circuits”.
In this regard, he said: “The Communes are fundamental actors to promote production from the social organization and diversify production chains, in this regard, the S&T is transversal to enhance capacities.”
He urged all communes, communal councils, peasant and fishermen's councils to participate in “the National Call for Technological Innovation 'Creative Knowledge of the People', to promote Science For Life”.
