*Minister Yván Gil: Iran's Bolivarian and Islamic Revolutions are sisters who share principles*

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, greeted, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, the Iranian people and Government, in order to commemorate this Thursday the 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

During his speech at the commemorative ceremony, held at the headquarters of the Persian Diplomatic Mission in Caracas, the Foreign Minister assured that this date is “very important for all revolutionaries in the world. We have said on many occasions that the Bolivarian Revolution and the Islamic Revolution are two sister revolutions, because we share fundamental principles of international politics and our way of seeing a just, equal, solidarity, complementarity and anti-imperialist world”.

In this regard, he specified that the Islamic Revolution “is an example of the fact that the unity of the people and the will of their government can defeat any type of attack.” He also said that the Bolivarian Revolution has also achieved important victories thanks to these characteristics and to the “cooperation we have had from friends in the world, including the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

He also stressed that the support expressed by Iran for Venezuela is a “demonstration of real brotherhood, with concrete facts of how a relationship of solidarity is built.”

The Persian ambassador to Venezuela, Hojjatolah Soltani, highlighted the achievements achieved by his nation after 45 years of such an important event, while assuring that these advances reiterate that the path to follow is that of revolution.

He also noted that the relationship between Iran and Venezuela has achieved successes that translate into the signing of 27 documents “that were not only signed there, but are in practice, because there has been coordination and permanent monitoring.”

Finally, he indicated that “today more than ever we have decided to strengthen our relationship in favor of the two nations, in favor of the two peoples; that relationship is going to get stronger every day”.

Also present at the event were Gabriela Jiménez, Sectorial Vice President of Science, Technology, Health and Education; Ramón Velázquez, Minister of People's Power for Transportation and President of the Iran-Venezuela Joint Commission; senior officials of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and deputies to the National Assembly.
