Minister Vladímir Padrino championed athletes of the 4th CISM World Cadet Games

From the gymnasium of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army, the Sectorial Vice President of Sovereignty, Security and Peace, the Minister of Popular Power for Defense, Vladímir Padrino López, championed this Thursday the delegation that will represent the country in the IV World Cadet Games of the International Military Sports Council (CISM), in which Venezuela will host this edition.

“Venezuela is today the epicenter of military sports and that should make us proud to represent our country, and we are also the venue for the IV World Cadet Games, an important milestone for Bolivarian peace diplomacy,” he said while explaining that this international sporting event will feature athletes from countries on five continents.

“All those delegations that come to compete in Venezuela must carry the message of peace, love and solidarity. It's a tremendous opportunity for armed forces from all over the world to come here, not in terms of war and genocide that are useless across the continent and around the world, but in terms of peace and unity,” he said.

Athletics, military pentathlon, rifle and pistol shooting; swimming, orientation, volleyball and fencing are the disciplines that will be played in these games to be held in the coming days.
