The Popular Power Minister for Petroleum, Pedro Rafael Tellechea, highlighted the advances in the “Hugo Chávez” Orinoco Oil Belt, where the Chaima, L-20-1, Paramaconi macollas, among others, were rehabilitated.

“As a single team, Board of Directors and working class, and thanks to the formula of the own efforts of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, we are achieving the definitive independence of the Venezuelan oil industry,” he stressed.

So far, a total of 36 farms and 400 productive wells have been registered and are fully operational.

He stressed that neither unilateral coercive measures nor attacks against the country's peace and stability, “have stopped the revival of the Venezuelan oil industry, which is growing in production capacity with the recovery of its infrastructure and fundamental facilities.”
