The Minister of Popular Power for Education, Yelitze Santaella, reported that six schools located in Cumanacoa, Sucre state, were affected, after the torrential rains that fell in that town after the passage of hurricane Beryl.

“From Cumanacoa, we report that the work team is deployed and under supervision. We have 20 campuses in the state and six were affected, which will be served with the BRICOMILES and the Loving Town and of these, two must be built; an action that will begin tomorrow,” he said.

The head of the ministerial portfolio added that the remaining 14 schools in the population are serving as shelters, for those who were affected by the passage of the hurricane. “I want to recognize the work that educational quality development centers are doing together (...) teachers, teachers, cooks who are preparing food for the people. A recognition for them who are caring with love for those affected by this natural tragedy and have demonstrated that they provide support in a loving way,” he said.
