Last Saturday, the Minister of Popular Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez denied a series of rumors alleging the delay in the start of academic activities in private schools.

In response, the head of Education, through the social network Instagram, recalled that September 30 represents the deadline for the start of classes.

“Communications have been coming to me in which suspensions or delays in the start of classes in private institutions have been attributed to the governing body,” he said in the first instance, and in this regard he reaffirmed that “at no time has the beginning of the school year been denied from my office in those schools that had already scheduled it”

In this regard, he stressed that no public official has the power to deny this possibility; and that a deadline was agreed for the start of classes, specifically, next Monday, September 30.

Rodríguez added that “this does not negate the possibility of starting earlier, as each school deems it, if it adds to the education and well-being of our children and young people.”
