This Maundy Thursday, March 28, the Sectorial Vice President for Public Security and Peace, Remigio Ceballos, flew over the coast of the state of Sucre, in order to oversee the development of the Safe Holy Week 2024 device and the influx of seasonal workers.

The information was released by the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations Justice and Peace, through its account on the social network X, in which Ceballos specified that “more than 163,000 men and women from security agencies, in the national territory”.

He indicated that the troops “remain active to protect citizens who are on the 494 suitable beaches, for maximum enjoyment and recreation.”

He also stressed that “our citizen security bodies and #SNGR are providing assistance to the entire population, taking into account the increase in mobilization during this season.”

Ceballos also noted that they are making progress in actions “to guarantee a safe return with the more than 3,000 checkpoints arranged on all roads in the country.”
