The Minister of Popular Power for the Communes, Ángel Prado, specified that starting this coming Sunday, the 18th, at 7:00am, the entire process for choosing the proposed projects will be activated, revealing that some 11,495 electoral centers will be authorized for the second National Popular Consultation 2026.

“The conditions are right for it to be a democratic day and as the leaders have said from the grassroots, Venezuela is going to send the world a message of Peace to continue deepening our model of democracy,” he said in an interview with Venezolana de Televisión.

He said that the centers will remain open until there are people in line and who want to vote.

He asserted that “people already know where to vote” because in his opinion, the National Electoral Council has deployed across the country with table witnesses, which allows us to build trust when it comes to voting for the projects that were presented by the communities.

Prado highlighted that communities have used popular methods, such as the paperwork that they themselves have placed outside the polling stations so that voters know which projects are going to be consulted this coming Sunday, October 18.

“The people want to continue to participate and be part of the decisions, but also to manage part of the resources of the Nation's budget,” he added.

He also stated that the community itself is the guarantor to assume responsibility for solving community problems.
