The Minister of Habitat and Housing, Paola Posani, warned that technical evaluation and soil studies with scientific rigor are an indispensable precondition for any architectural development or construction project in the country.
In statements collected by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN) during the installation of the III Management Meeting of the National Institute of Urban Lands (INTU), Posani emphasized that the institution's staff constitute the scientific basis for certifying suitable land and avoiding buildings in risky areas.
“You are the scientific voice behind every building. You can't build a structure, do the calculation, or design the architecture without first evaluating and inspecting the soil. In my first interviews, they asked me if it was true that it had been built without a land study, but that question makes no sense because that is not feasible, unless they are improvised buildings,” said Posani.
For his part, the president of the INTU, Ronald Rivas, valued the institute's human talent and highlighted the importance of combining Minister Posani's teaching experience with daily work in the field to improve work methodologies for urban transformation.
In addition, during the meeting, the authorities defined six strategic axes focused on innovation, technical training and the sustainable development of the sector.
