Minister Padrino López: We recognize loyalty and absolute subordination to President Nicolás Maduro

The Minister of Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, reaffirmed, this Friday, January 10, the loyalty and recognition of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

“The armed troops of the Army, the Aviation, the Navy, the Bolivarian National Guard and the Bolivarian National Militia, deployed in the eight Strategic Regions for Integral Defense (REDI) that comprise the entire national territory, solemnly express that we ratify the commitment of fidelity to the ideals of El Libertador Simon Bolivar retaken by the Supreme Commander of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez Frías,” said the senior military officer.

In addition, in a speech read in the courtyard of the Bolivarian Military University, he reiterated the popular, anti-oligarchic, anti-colonialist and anti-imperialist character of the FANB.

“We will defend, in perfect civic, military and police fusion, the nation from any external or internal threat. We will obey the popular mandate expressed on July 28, 2024 in free, universal, direct and secret elections,” he said.
