Minister Padrino López inaugurated the Bridge on Anacoco Island in Guiana Essequiba

From Anacoco Island in the state of Guayana Esequiba, the Sectorial Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty, G/J Vladímir Padrino López, accompanied by the Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, and High Military Command, officially inaugurated this Thursday, December 19, the fixed bridge over the Cuyuní River.
This infrastructure was built not only to connect the mainland with the aforementioned island but to promote the integral development of this territory of the Venezuelan nation, according to a press release.
The Minister of People's Power for Defense, also described the inauguration of this infrastructure as an act of sovereign reaffirmation.
He explained that the bridge will connect the town of San Martin de Turumbang with Anacoco Island, allowing its inhabitants to access health and academic facilities.
It will also favor the Integral Development Areas of the Guayana Esequiba Integral Defense Operational Zone (ZODI No. 64), led by G/D Henry González Velásquez, who also accompanied the event, together with the mayor of the Sifontes municipality of the state of Bolívar, Vicente Rojas.
Padrino López extended his gratitude for this work, which began approximately a year ago and executed in perfect civic-military fusion “to reaffirm our commitment to fight for our Esequib territory”.
He praised the capacity of the members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), “this is simply an example of what we have done and what we are capable of doing, communicating a continental territory on the other side of the Cuyuní River and designing a bridge of that magnitude, not only requires will but it requires love for Venezuela.”
“We have not come to militarily occupy spaces, that is a wrong concept that has been tried to manipulate; we, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, have come here to promote national development,” he said.
The minister reported on the delivery of a comprehensive rural school and a type I outpatient clinic on Anacoco Island in search of maximum social care for the esequibanes, “we see here all the conditions for the people to live together in the midst of the common good in this territory,” he said.
He affirmed that every commitment that the Fatherland demands from the FANB, every soldier and soldier will be there. During the event, the plaque was also unveiled in a monolith that bears the name of the creation of the Guayana Esequiba state, highlighting out loud that the Venezuelan Sun is rising in the Essequibo.
During his visit to Esequiba Guiana, Padrino López toured the facilities and inaugurated the School of Special Operations in Selva, and presented the Battle of Ayacucho award to military personnel who participated in the engineering work on the works delivered to the people of Anacoco Island.
He stated that the Essequibo territory is the clutches of empires to extract the wealth that lies there; however, he reiterated his full defense for the sovereign and territorial preservation of the Homeland.
In the month of May, a temporary campaign bridge was set up in a first phase to allow the crossing of all the means and supplies, machinery and transport, required to continue this second phase of construction of this infrastructure with greater elevation and resistance, a Mabey Compac 200 ™️, and the engineering work was carried out by the Territorial Defensive System of the FANB.
