This Tuesday, March 11, the Vice President of Communication and Culture, Freddy Ñáñez, inaugurated the Great National Workshop on Popular Communication “Tanks of Community Thinking”, which brings together communicators and popular communiques from all over the country to build a new method to face the communication challenges of these times.
“We are going to meet to take advantage of all the talent that is here and update ourselves on a common method and strategy (...) We are in the moment of creation, reinvention and that moment is not a zero point, we come from great experiences and today we recognize them in each of you to build the new method of liberation in the 21st century,” said Ñáñez from the La Carlota Convention Center, Miranda state.
He reaffirmed that the new method will have the lines of action promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, on communication in streets, media, networks and walls. “We must recognize the President who has investigated to create our own theory in the face of the phenomena that constitute these technological changes, and also to see the advantages that these technologies bring to peoples,” he said.
He emphasized that among the issues to be addressed is that of social networks, which “is the quest to steal our political capacity, it is the attempt to flatten the cultural singularities that humanity has and pigeonhole us in the extreme individuality of the algorithm”. At the same time, he noted the threat they have become to “the security of States due to the issue of data and public health”.
He emphasized that while hegemonic centers have an advantage in the method of technologies, Venezuela has an advantage in popular organization, inventiveness and generation of spaces for renewing communication. “We won't get together to get all the juice we have. We are going to communicate for the homeland and for humanity,” he said.
