Minister Jiménez: Venezuela shone in the “Aloha Mental Arithmetic 2024” in Spain

The Venezuelan delegation won 10 awards at the “Aloha Mental Arithmetic 2024” in Spain, as reported by the Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez.

“Our boys and girls were distinguished in all five categories, winning 10 prizes, passing the evaluations of concentration, logical thinking and the resolution of arithmetic calculations,” Jiménez said through the social network X.

In this regard, the minister explained that the competition consisted of participants solving 70 arithmetic operations in less than five minutes, with the help of a “Soroban”.

“Congratulations to you, to your teachers, coaches and especially to families, mothers and fathers who lovingly cultivate values and knowledge as pure as the sun,” he said.

More than 600 boys and girls who represented 40 countries participated in the event.
