The sector vice-president of Science, Technology and Health, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, led the first International Seminar on Sustainable Pharmacy from the Venezuelan Hydrocarbons University. This, with the purpose of promoting a policy of access to medicines that prioritizes sustainability, domestic production and advocates for the comprehensive health of Venezuelans.

The activity was attended by four pharmaceutical chambers in the country, as well as rectors and representatives of national universities. Therefore, the Minister for Science and Technology (MINCYT) thanked and highlighted the importance of collaboration between academia, industry and the Government to face the challenges of the sector.

“Today we are convened to work with the Pharmaceutical Engine, which involves the employment of more than 30,000 Venezuelan citizens, more than five thousand engineering specialists in technical areas, in drug formulation, in quality and stability studies, but also an engine that is indispensable for the peace policy of the Venezuelan people,” he said.
