The Minister of Popular Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez, issued instructions to the supervisors of this ministerial body to initiate a special deployment at the national level, aimed at fulfilling the five objectives proposed to increase educational quality and collect information on infrastructure, particular needs and other elements.

The information was released by this Ministry, in a publication on its website, in which Rodríguez points out that “400 schools have to be visited daily and randomly throughout the country to systematize everything necessary and create a report that is delivered every day in the corresponding educational areas to the heads of state and to me once a week.”

This was stated during a working meeting that took place this Thursday, February 13, at the headquarters of the Ministry in Caracas, and through a national videoconference.

The five objectives for educational quality are: to achieve 100% schooling, to eliminate mosaic schedules, to keep all teachers and teachers in the classroom, to improve academic content, and to raise management on campuses.

“The task should focus on collecting information that is useful to us and that facilitates the process of coordination and improvement of education, such as the growth of enrollment, class attendance, weekly orientation, stimulating scientific seedbeds, sports teams, literary groups, the PAE (School Feeding Program) and school brigades,” he added.

He also announced that he will soon begin a postgraduate cycle in mathematics, natural sciences and history.

“Initially to fill the gaps in those areas and then for all teachers, this has to be ongoing training for principals, teachers and supervisors alike,” he said.
