The sector vice president for Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during a verification tour of the patrol points in Maracay, Aragua state, urged officials to encourage new generations of family members and friends of police officers to join the institution.
“We have to create a sense that young people want to go to the police, that they are proud to be police officers, that happens in families where father and son are police officers, but we have to go further, to friends, to cousins,” urged the Minister of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace.
He emphasized to a group of officials on patrol the need for protection of the People by State security agencies.
“We have to accompany the People because in the Fourth Republic when the People saw a patrol it was everyone going to run, even if we were playing some sport, no one had anything to owe to justice, we were students, but there was a natural fear of justice, but now when something happens and the police arrive people say: there are mine,” he stressed.
He called for mysticism in the work carried out to go from there to accompany the People in their struggles.
