The new direct air connection between Rome and Caracas, which will start operating on March 30, will bring families closer together and open up commercial and investment opportunities between Italy and Venezuela, said the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello.

Through his Instagram account, Cabello shared a video in which he shared the meeting with the president of ITA Airways, Sandro Pappalardo, during the TTG Travel Experience fair, held in Rimini, Italy, where they discussed the launch of this route.

Pappalardo thanked Venezuelan institutions for their collaboration and expressed confidence in the tourism potential of both countries. “It's an extraordinary territory; for us Italians, it represents discovering a wonderful part of the planet,” he said.

Cabello noted that the connection is the result of joint work between the aeronautical authorities, the Ministry of Tourism and the Venezuelan Embassy in Italy, following the guidelines of President Delcy Rodríguez.

“We know how wonderful our country is, but how special it is to listen to others betting on tourism growth in Venezuela,” he said.
