Minister Ceballos reassigned 2,500 firearms to security agencies

This Friday, January 26, the Sectorial Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, reassigned 2,500 firearms to strengthen the country's citizen security bodies.

These weapons will be distributed between the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC ) and the Bolivarian National Police Corps (PNB), as part of the strengthening of the citizen security bodies, contemplated in the Great Mission Quadrants of Peace, reported the Ministry of People's Power for Relations Interiors, Justice and Peace, in your account on Social Network X.

Ceballos Ichaso, stressed that these actions are contemplated in article 55 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which obliges citizen security bodies to protect the Venezuelan people from vulnerabilities and threats to guarantee the full enjoyment of their rights and the fulfillment of their duties.

“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is the owner of all the weapons found throughout the national territory,” said Ceballos Ichaso.

He also highlighted that through the Great Quadrants of Peace Mission, “we have managed to get the State to seize a large amount of weapons resulting from the direct fight against crime.

“Once they go through this entire criminal investigation process, they are reassigned to citizen security bodies, and units of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), in a continuous process, adjusted to our Constitutional text art. 324,” he explained.

In addition, he highlighted the efforts of the National Service for Disarmament, attached to the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, “which has its law adapted to the Integral Defense of the Nation”.
