Minister Ceballos: Crime incidence during week number 5 of this year decreased by 31%

The Sectorial Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, AJ. Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, reported that the crime incidence during week number 5 of this year decreased by 31%.

“This action is an example of the work carried out by citizen security bodies to guarantee peace and tranquility,” said the Chief Admiral, during the Ministerial Security Council.

With regard to the National Risk Management System, he specified that the actions to be carried out in the face of the coming dry period for the prevention and mitigation of forest fires were reviewed.

In the same way, he highlighted the activation in previous days of the Unified National Command against Forest Fires, as a strategy for immediate action in combat and prevention during the dry period in the country.

In the area of public order, the Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, instructed the ministerial team to strengthen strategies and methods that allow a greater range of action, for the protection of the people.

In addition, Ceballos, together with representatives of the Ministerial Council, supervised the progress of plans that have allowed the fight against organized crime, illegal drug trafficking, terrorism and cybercrime.
