Minister Ceballos announced a reduction in the crime rate by 24% in the country compared to 2023

The Sectorial Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, AJ. Remigio Ceballos Ichaso announced a 24.7% reduction in crimes at the national level.

During his visit to Sucre state, Ceballos Ichaso said that in that region it fell by 19.5%, compared to the same period in 2023.

He indicated that the decrease is due to the articulated work carried out by citizen security bodies, to comply with the guidelines emanating from the Great Quadrants of Peace Mission, a public policy of the Government of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

“It is precisely a work that has been carried out through a pilot plan, to expand it in the country, by orders of our President, in terms of citizen security to preserve the peace and tranquility of the people,” said Ceballos, MPPRIJP press reported.

The godfather of the entity, during his visit, held a meeting with the authorities of the police and military bodies, in which they reviewed strategies aimed at reducing the crime rate in the eastern state.

The Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), also delivered 4x4 motorcycles, which will be destined for the region's Tourist Police service.
