“The President (Nicolás Maduro) has told us about the popular-military-police fusion, civilian-military union has existed here in a historic way, we must make the popular fusion of the people, the military and the police a reality.”

With these words, the Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, indicated the line to follow to comply with this instruction from the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, who seeks to guarantee the strengthening of the sovereignty and peace of the Venezuelan territory.

During a conversation he held with officials of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), during his tour of the Pan-American Highway, to oversee the deployment of permanent security in the area, the Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace insisted on the need to ensure that police forces are based on citizen protection.

“The police have to join this merger and the best way is to be on the street next to the town, so that the people feel that they have a police that protects them, that they are not chasing them.”
