After a tour of the streets of downtown Caracas, prior to the installation of the National Assembly, this Saturday, the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, confirmed that the Constitution of Venezuela establishes that the President of the Republic is sworn in in the country, as will the head of state Nicolás Maduro on next January 10.
“On January 10, President Nicolás Maduro will be sworn in before the National Legislative Branch, the National Assembly, and he will do so in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela as established in our Constitution (...) that the president of Venezuela is sworn in here in Venezuela, not anywhere else,” he reiterated.
In this regard, he stressed that the deployment of State security agencies represents “the guarantee of peace and tranquility, everything is calm”.
He said that this Sunday the Federal Legislative Palace “is full of celebration with the election of the board of directors and the 10th will continue to be a party and the day of the annual message (of President Maduro) will continue to be a party, a festival of peace, of the tranquility of our country, of democracy. Our democracy is not a democracy that is going to be imposed on us from anywhere, we build Venezuelan democracy ourselves.”
