The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Safety
and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, instructed the
security forces of the state of Trujillo to take preventive measures in the face of the increase in deaths due to traffic accidents.
During a tour of the Agua Santa checkpoint, in
the Andean state, Cabello pointed out that “we must be aware of the issue of traffic
accidents”, whose number of deaths is higher than that of
homicides. “Fortunately, they are not killing people, but there are many
deaths from traffic accidents,” he said.
In this regard, he urged police officers to “get
annoyed with people who don't have lights or who have LED lights that are
a danger, those who walk without rear lights and, in addition, to talk to their motorized
companions about the danger. We have to guide them,” he emphasized.
