The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security
and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, announced this Thursday the seizure of 33
rifles stolen by a criminal group in Aragua from the
Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to carry out terrorist actions against the People and the Revolutionary Government, on instructions from the extreme right.
“Immediately after the first delivery of this
information, the security agencies were deployed, and we received
information that the groups operating in the Aragua Valleys, linked to the Aragua Train and the Llano
Train, had an operation on the sides of
Tejerías,” he said at a press conference.
He explained that officials of the
Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) carried out an operation to
achieve the seizure of the “33 rifles that had been stolen from our Bolivarian National Armed
Forces (...) There was a confrontation and unfortunately a colleague of the CICPC
died, several members of the gang were captured, some were killed in combat, others were injured, I mean of the criminal
gang”.
Cabello indicated that this criminal group is known as the Jason Comino
Band and during the police operation, a group of
Venezuelans were arrested, “linked to the operation of this gang and their
relations with mercenary groups.”
