The Minister of Popular Power for Electric Energy, Rolando Alcalá, within the framework of the strategic plan for the stabilization and modernization of the National Electricity System (SEN), highlighted the importance of the new regulatory framework for the sector.

“The new Organic Law on the National Electricity System Service represents a significant step towards the modernization of the electricity sector in our country,” he said.

During his speech, the head of Electric Power pointed out that this new legal instrument “will allow the integration of the public and private sector in energy generation, transmission, distribution and commercialization”.

“This Act is expected to promote competitiveness, improve efficiency and attract investments that strengthen electrical infrastructure,” he pointed out and maintained that “this will not only guarantee a more reliable and sustainable supply, but will also benefit consumers with wider access to energy.”

“Nowadays, where energy development is crucial, this Act is a catalyst for economic development and environmental sustainability,” said Alcalá.
