MINEC and GNB rescue protected wildlife species in Anzoátegui

In a joint effort, the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism and the State Coordination of Environmental Day Care (CEGA) of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and the Citizen Service Point (PAC) rescued nine morrocoyes and two parakeets in the state of Anzoátegui.
According to a publication in the ministerial portfolio, the operation was carried out after a complaint was received at the 0800-Ambient telephone number (0800-2624368) about the trafficking of the said fauna.
Once the authorities learned about the case, a joint commission was activated, consisting of the Unit for Monitoring and Control of Environmental Impacts of the aforementioned ministry, the State Coordination of Environmental Day Care (CEGA) of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), and the Citizen Service Point (PAC), whose officials went to the national highway of trunk coast 9, in the Manuel Ezequiel Bruzual municipality, Clarines, where the rescue of these species was achieved.
