As part of the celebration of the National Wristband Day, the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MINCULTURA) awarded the II Crib Festival, which took place between December 12, 2023 and January 6 of this year, under the organization of Misión Cultura.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, the Deputy Minister of Image and Space Arts, Mary Pemjean, presented the prize to the winners of the contest, and thanked them, on behalf of Minister Ernesto Villegas, for their creativity in the elaboration and preservation of Venezuelan traditions typical of the Christmas season.

According to the verdict of the judging jury, the winners of this second edition of the contest were in the Best Crib with Recycling Materials category. Carlos Marrón, from Miranda state, won for his originality, aesthetics and good creative use of recycling material, which does not consist of taking a raw material that is used for waste, but rather highlighted the importance of transforming it.

Meanwhile, in the Best Community Crib Category, the Alfredo Almeida Museum, in the state of Lara, was selected for its ceramic birth. In the Best Student Crib category, the award went to the José María Baralt University, in the state of Trujillo, for the pedagogical strategies demonstrated in the preparation of the birth with the participation of all students.

In the Best Institutional Crib category, the award was won by the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism in the state of Mérida, for having prepared the crib on the occasion of praising voluntary and collective work inspired by a promotional video.
