The Multidisciplinary Team of the Ministry of Popular Water Power put the Dr. Enrique Bourgoin drinking water treatment plant located in the Gonzalo Picón parish of the Libertador municipality, in the state of Mérida, fully operational, after carrying out installation and maintenance work on the pumping systems of the hydraulic enclosure.
The maneuvers involved placing a seven-stage equipment with a four-inch discharge in the number two upwash bench, in addition to a nine-stage turbine pump in the hydropneumatic bed, both driven by 20-horsepower vertical motors.
In addition, interconnected welding tasks were carried out to fix the electrical and hydraulic assembly, while a turbine pump with a head was removed for comprehensive maintenance.
The resident of the sector, Paulet Rangel, expressed her support for the work carried out, pointing out that the recovery of the equipment makes it possible to receive drinking water constantly and with better pressure in homes in the Gonzalo Picón parish.
This technical work directly serves the communities of Merida, in compliance with the guidelines issued by President Delcy Rodríguez to consolidate the transformation of public services in the entity.
