Miguel Cantón was crowned champion of the XXVIII National 3-Band Carambola Championship

Miguel Cantón from Aragüeño won the XXVIII National 3-Band Carambola Championship, the highest category for men.
Cantón won the title after beating William Villanueva from Tachirense with a score of 40 to 32 carambola.
“Being a national champion is a very important title for me, since it gives points to the national ranking, Pan-American and world rankings,” said Cantón, six-time national champion of the sport, a press release by the Ministry of Sport.
Cantón also set a national record of 14 consecutive carambola fruits, surpassing the previous record of the Anzóatiguense Merlin Romero of 13 in a row.
For his part, Romero established a new record of 30 carambola attacks out of 10 with an average of 1,400 spots.
