Metropolitanos and Carabobo leaders of their respective home runs of the FUTVE League Apertura Tournament

Between Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of May, the four matches of the third round of the Final Phase of the Apertura 2024 tournament of the Venezuelan Football League (FUTVE League) were played, where Metropolitanos FC and Carabobo FC were victorious, leading home runs A and B, respectively

For Quadrangular A, the purple team beat Deportivo La Guaira 2-1 at the Olympic stadium in the capital. The orange team opened the scoring with a goal from Juan Luis Perdomo in the 4th minute, the visitors rallied with a goal scored by Kevin De La Hoz at 42' and John Chancellor at 55'.

For its part, Inter de Barinas equaled 1-1 with UCV FC, at the La Carolina stadium in the Llanera entity. An own goal from Julio Da Silva at 13' set up the visit, but the local team managed to tie with a penalty from Colombian Juan Camilo Zapata at 53'.

While in Quadrangular B, Zamora FC and Angostura FC equaled 2-2, at the La Carolina stadium in Barinas. Jorge Gómez at 22′ and Aldry Contreras at 90+5′ scored for the Auriazul Whirlwind and Johan Moreno at 34′ and José Alí Meza at 56′ for Black and White.

Meanwhile, Academia Puerto Cabello fell to Carabobo FC 2-0, at the La Bombonerita stadium, Puerto Cabello. The winning goals were scored by Edson Alejandro Tortolero at 20′ and Gustavo González at 84′.

These results leave Metropolitanos as the leader of Quadrangular A with 7 points, followed by UCV with 5, La Guaira with 3 and Inter with 1. Foursquare B is led by Carabobo with 7 units, accompanied by Angostura with 3, Portuguesa and Puerto Cabello with 2 points each.
