Metropolitanos and Carabobo are still solid in first place in home runs A and B in the FUTVE League

Between Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May, the four matches corresponding to the fourth round of the home runs of the 2024 Open Tournament of the Venezuelan Football League (FUTVE League) were played, with Metropolitanos FC, UCV FC and Portuguesa FC winning.

In the first match for Quadrandular A, the Violeta team defeated Deportivo La Guaira 2-1 at the Olympic stadium in the capital city.

Metropolitanos were left with the victory thanks to a double from Ángelo Lucena who scored in the 21st minute and 27′ in the penalty. While the discount was made by Edder Farías at 12′.

On the same stage, UCV FC thrashed Inter de Barinas 4-0. With so many of Jesús Vargas at 10′ and a triplet from Joel Infante at 17′, 21′ and 78′ penalty kick.

For its part, for Quadrangular B, Angostura FC fell 3-4 to Portuguesa FC, at the Ricardo Tulio Maya stadium, Ciudad Bolívar. The winning goals were scored by Diego Echeverri at 31′ and 74′, Johan Moreno at 41′ penalty and Ronaldo Peña 90+8′. While for the locals they scored Aldry Contreras at 9′ and Ronny Maza at 61′ and 90+5′ penalty.

Meanwhile, at the Misael Delgado stadium in Valencia, Carabobo FC and Academia Puerto Cabello equalized 1-1, with a goal from Richard Celis at 66′ for the visit and one from Miguel Pernía at 69′ for the locals.

With these results, Metropolitanos is still in charge of Quadrandular A with 10 points, followed by UCV with 8, La Guaira 3 and Inter 1.

Foursquare B is led by Carabobo with 8 units, accompanied by Portuguesa with 5, Angostura and Puerto Cabello with 3 each.
