The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted this Tuesday that in the midst of the criminal blockade and sanctions, the country is rising “thanks to the efforts of its people and the initiatives of the Bolivarian Government.”

During a massive mobilization in support of President Nicolás Maduro, Cabello pointed out that “Venezuela has been going on for 12 quarters (...) but what does it mean for the economy to grow? Those are the solid foundations for stability across the country.”

He said that “the economy has been growing for 12 quarters almost at war, because the United States and the European Union declared war on this country.”

Cabello reiterated that it is President Maduro who has guaranteed the protection of the Venezuelan people when the extremist right has promoted multiform aggression against the Homeland.

In this regard, he emphasized that “to defend the Homeland, we must love it above all else. If you don't love the country you don't defend it, if you don't love the place where you were born you are able to give it the highest bidder (...) Nicolás has demonstrated the dignity, courage, sovereignty and independence to face all the enemies of the Fatherland, national, internal and international.”
