More than 16,000 Caracas Community Councils will participate in the Second National Popular Consultation on October 18, after completing the renewal of their spokespersons during days that lasted more than two months in the 22 parishes of the capital, said Mayor Carmen Meléndez.

He indicated that this Wednesday, October 14, at the Casa del Obrero, awards were granted to the local communal councils for the organization and participation demonstrated during the process. “More than 11,000 spokespersons from the Caracas communal councils have been renewed,” he said.

The local president stressed the importance of Sunday's day. “We are all going to exercise our duty and right to vote,” he said on his Instagram account, where he explained that the community councils with their renewed voices will take part in the consultation.
