A total of 60 gynecological interventions were performed through the National Surgical Plan, at the central hospital of Maturín

The information was released through a press release from the Government, in which it was detailed that Juan Carlos Gómez, director of the state's main health center, indicated that the plan is being successfully implemented thanks to the support it provides and the regional president, Ernesto Luna, with the delivery of materials to meet the surgical demand.

“This time we are carrying out the gyneco-obstetric plan, through which we will perform more than 60 highly complex surgeries, such as hysterectomies and prolapse reduction. For this reason, we have the addition of seven specialists from Caracas, who join our team,” he explained.

He also appreciated the joint work carried out by the team of doctors, nurses, administrative staff and workers who, with total responsibility, join their efforts to comply with this plan.

The National Surgical Plan in the state of Monagas is developed in 10 hospitals performing completely free surgical procedures.
