Marcos Blanco wins bronze for Venezuela at the Paris Paralympics

Venezuelan parathlete Marcos Blanco won the bronze medal Thursday after beating Indonesian Junaedi, in the match for third place in the men's
Parajudo J1 -60 kg, at the Paralympic Games in Paris 2024.
The fight, dominated by Marcos from the start, ended
when the Venezuelan added an ippon when he executed a Sumi-otoshi at the minute and
fifty-seven seconds, a result with which the Venezuelan parathlete surpassed his participation in Tokyo 2020, where he won an Olympic diploma.
After the award ceremony, Blanco said he was
grateful for the medal won. “I'm happy, thank God I achieved the
goal and I was able to get the bronze medal,” sports media quote.
With this, the Venezuelan delegation reaches four medals at
the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, after those won by Lisbeli
Vera (silver), Enderson Santos (gold) and Clara Fuentes (gold).
