The streets of the city of Maracaibo were dressed up as parties to enjoy the Viva Venezuela 2025 Great Carnival Parade, in which more than eight thousand people participated, including boys, girls and young people in floats, troupes and marching bands with which they made their regionalist sentiment known.
This was indicated by the president of the Corporation of the Zulian Region (CORPOZULIA), Néstor Reverol, on his account on the social network Instagram, who stressed that this event was promoted together with 37 institutions of the Bolivarian Government and private companies.
In a press release, he said that “we did it to rescue this type of Carnival activities that allow us to enjoy and make our Zuliana traditions known to people who visit us from other states of the country.”
He explained that 24 floats exhibited in their compositions the natural, cultural wonders, productive and scientific development and riches of the state, accompanied by 26 troupes made up of schools, communities and workers, and 24 marching bands, who demonstrated their musical and choreographic experience.
“The real protagonists of this activity were the boys, girls and young people who, with perseverance and effort, offered a great show, highlighting the originality and creativity in their presentations,” he explained.
The parade began on Dr. Portillo Avenue and culminated in the G/J Rafael Urdaneta Park with a Grand Concert offered by Homero, Enio and José Ignacio, and Junior Díaz.
Reverol reiterated that to guarantee the well-being of citizens during these Carnival holidays, a security deployment was activated with the participation of 5,500 members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Bolivarian National Police (PNB ), Civil Protection, among others.
“A deployment that will continue throughout the vacation, in which we have organized a cultural and recreational program for our local citizens and visitors,” he said.
“President Nicolás Maduro gave us the instruction to make these days the happiest and we are living up to the joy and happiness that has always characterized our people of Zulia,” he said.
