Manuel Cabré: The painter of Waraira Repano (+seeding)

On February 26, 1984, Manuel Cabré died, the outstanding painter for his technique for capturing landscapes on canvas.
Cabré arrived in Venezuela from a very young age. At the age of 8, he was enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts, where his father, the sculptor Ángel Cabré y Magriña, held the chair of sculpture.
Cabré is known as the painter of Waraira Repano, a task that was commissioned by President Isaías Medina Angarita.
A founding member of the Circle of Fine Arts and director, he traveled to Paris in 1920 and spent a decade in France. He won the National Painting Prize in 1951.
Among the artist's most important exhibitions are: Retrospective Exhibition (1910-1965), in the exhibition hall of the Mendoza Foundation, 1965; the Retrospective Exhibition (1915-1971), MBA, 1971; the Tribute to Cabré the Other Exhibition, at the GAN, 1980; and the Manuel Masterpieces Retrospective Cabré (1914-1975), at the Macc, 1980.
Cabré received the Andrés Bello Order, in its first class, in 1971; and the Francisco de Miranda Order, in its first class, in 1978, on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of the Museum of Fine Arts Artes de Caracas, together with the other former directors of this institution.
On January 25, 1890, he was born in Barcelona, Spain.
