Man sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexually abusing his stepdaughters

A 33-year-old man was sentenced to 30 years in prison for having sexually abused his 9- and 11-year-old stepdaughters, the Public Ministry (MP) reported in a press release.

According to the above-mentioned text, the fact reported by the mother of the victims on September 25, 2022 to the Police Coordination Center of the municipality of Veroes, located in the state of Yaracuy.

That day, the victims' father went to the Dr. Ulacio Douglas de Farriar Care Center, located in the aforementioned municipality, because her daughters had severe abdominal pain and pain in their private parts.

During the medical check-up, she was informed that the girls were infected with a sexually transmitted disease. When questioned, both revealed that they were abused by their stepfather when their mother went out to buy food.

For this reason, the woman went to the José Joaquín Veroes Police Coordination Center to report her partner based on what happened. Faced with this situation, the subject was arrested in flagrante delicto that same day and placed at the immediate disposal of the MP.

During the trial, the 8th Prosecutor's Office of the above-mentioned jurisdiction upheld the accusation against Rivera Ramírez for the commission of penetrative sexual abuse.

Once the fiscal representation evacuated the means and organs of evidence by the fiscal representation, the 1st Trial Court handed down the above-mentioned conviction against Rivera Ramírez and ordered his detention at the headquarters of the arresting body.
