This Tuesday, a magnitude 5.5 earthquake shook southern Afghanistan, near the border with Pakistan. At the moment, no casualties or material damage have been reported.

The earthquake occurred around 06:00 (local time) in the Afghan province of Kandahar, at a depth of approximately ten kilometers.

The epicenter was located about 60 kilometers north of the Pakistani border city of Nushki.
