At the Antonio Herrera Gutierrez Stadium, in Barquisimeto, the Navegantes del Magallanes won an 11-7 victory against Cardenales de Lara, ending a streak of 6 consecutive losses, in what is the start of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League 2026-2027.

In a match where the offense produced 15 uncatchables, the current champions of the rented ball were able to maintain an advantage against the red birds that with 7 hits was not enough to impose their dominance at home.
